Кулон з місячним каменем

Moonstone – is an enchanting mineral, a precious variety of feldspar (orthoclase) renowned for its unique optical effect – adularescence. This gentle, mystical glow, reminiscent of moonlight, arises from the scattering of light between microscopic layers of different feldspars (orthoclase and albite) within the stone. It is this ethereal radiance, seemingly floating beneath the surface, that makes moonstone so coveted in jewelry and collecting. Its name is directly linked to this magical luster.

Since ancient times, moonstone has been used to create jewelry, with beliefs in its connection to the moon and its properties as a talisman bringing good fortune and emotional balance. While we primarily value it for its natural beauty, this rich history adds a special charm. The moonstone palette is diverse: from classic milky-white and grey to delicate shades of blue, peach, pink, and sometimes even greenish.

The most prized specimens display a vivid blue glow against a transparent or translucent background. The stone often features inclusions or internal structures, lending uniqueness to each piece. Although moonstone is not the hardest mineral (6-6.5 on the Mohs scale), with careful handling, it is perfectly suited for creating elegant jewelry – rings, earrings, pendants, often cut as cabochons to best reveal its beauty.

Moonstone is the choice for connoisseurs of refined beauty and nature's mysterious glow.
