It is the combination of a rich blue color with contrasting inclusions that makes lapis lazuli extremely attractive to collectors and jewelers. Over the centuries, lapis lazuli has been attributed with various properties, considering it a stone of wisdom, truth and inner harmony. In many cultures, it symbolized the sky and spiritual enlightenment.
